A presentation of Soren Breiting

My first name is Søren (not Soren, as I use internationally) in my native Danish language. I have worked seriously with photography since I was a boy. I had my first photo published nation wide and sold in 1961, when I was 14 years old. Since then my pictures have been used widely for all kinds of purpose, see credits.

My home is in Hoersholm, a suburb of Copenhagen (the capital of Denmark), and I travel throughout the year.

See list of visited countries Countries Worldwide and Great Cities as they are reflected in the menu to the right (at the moment being further developed).

Planned main photo travels in 2003: Australia, Central Asia, Alaska, Thailand.

Photo travels in 2002: Antarctica, Thailand, Scandinavia: Sweeden and Finland.

Major photo travels in 2001: Costa Rica, Andaman Islands, India, Thailand and Central Asia with Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Xinjiang (China).

Longer photo travels in 2000: Southern Spain, London, Southern Africa with Botswana, Okavango, Chobe N.P., Victoria falls, Thailand, Vietnam and southern Texas.

The longer photo travels in 1999 included: NW India, Southern England, California and provinciel Denmark.

In general culture and the human-made world give me much satisfaction for finding expressive motives for my photography. But the natural world has always inspired me and was my main passion for many years.

As an author I often combine my writing with photos in my books (more than 15 published to date) and do the same in papers / features.

As a service for stock photo buyers and others interested in stock photography, and with a focus at pictures and marketing, I edit the ezine Stock Photo News.

In 1980 we were a small team to prepare and set up an innovative new photo stock agency BIOFOTO which has developed to be a strong competitor on the market.

It was owned by the 70 permanent photographers and has become renewed for its broad coverage of quality photographs, and for its excellent service to customers.

Stock photo agent: BIOFOTO , now a part of Scanpix (the biggist picture agency of Scandinavia).

I am also using Alamy as a stock photo agency.
